StumbleUpon…now Simpler, Searchable and More Social

Hello Stumblers,
After months of development and Beta testing, we are excited to present the new StumbleUpon! We have completely updated the interface, geared to be more simple, searchable and social. The new StumbleUpon preserves the functionality of the previous interface while adding frequently requested features, such as Search Your Favorites.

Simpler:
Our goal was to make the site and the StumbleUpon Add-on easier to use and more intuitive for visitors and users. We’ve improved site navigation, and navigation within User Profiles, to make it easier and faster to find what you’re looking for. We also think it just looks a lot nicer.
Searchable:
We’ve enhanced Search using community ratings and reviews. Now you’ll have the ability to Search either within your favorites, your friend’s favorites, or the entire site to discover more specific pages on a topic.
More Social:
We’ve made it easier for you to find the people you know (your real-life friends) on StumbleUpon and have made it possible to find people who have similar interests that live close to you. Plus, you can get nearly real-time updates from the people you are subscribed to, served in your Recent Activity page (formerly What’s New).To access the new StumbleUpon from your current Profile page, go to http://www.stumbleupon.com/trynow/. We are planning to permanently transition to the new StumbleUpon in the next month and will send more gentle reminders as the date draws near.
We’d love to hear your feedback, questions or suggestions. If you have already switched to the new StumbleUpon, please use the new “Feedback” tab, located on the right side of all SU pages. You can also check out our FAQ page where we answer common questions about the updates. We hope you enjoy the new StumbleUpon!-gmc

New StumbleUpon Toolbar (Version 3.38) for Firefox!

The StumbleUpon toolbar for Firefox continues to be one of our users' favorites. The latest version of the add-on makes Stumbling even easier by simplifying the menus and adding a number of frequently requested features.
What's new in the latest version?
Upgrade your StumbleUpon toolbar for Firefox to benefit from the following new options:

Shorter toolbar, yay! By popular demand, we condensed some of the buttons on the toolbar so it occupies less space in your browser and makes it easier to use the most popular buttons.
We added Report Spam and Duplicate Content to the thumbs-down menu to help improve the quality of your Stumbles.

Read more in our Online Help on how to make the best use of these new toolbar options.

All Stumble Channels are now grouped under the All button. If you want to use specific Stumble channels like StumbleThru, Stumbling in your favorite topics or through other Stumblers' favorites, you can find all these options and more under All.
Post your favorite sites to Twitter and Facebook straight from the toolbar! The "Share" menu now allows you to easily post sites you like to your Twitter and Facebook accounts, via Su.pr.

We hope that these new features will improve your Stumbling and make it even easier to discover and share the best online content! ~ The StumbleUpon Team

Personalized Web Stumbling… now just like the toolbar!

When we first launched Web Stumbling - the ability to Stumble without downloading the toolbar, our goal was to make Stumbling much more accessible… from any computer and any browser. We have now released several major enhancements that bring us closer to that goal:

Fully Personalized Experience — Now you can expect the same high-quality and personalized recommendations that you receive from your downloaded toolbar. And you can access it from any computer, and from any browser... just visit StumbleUpon.com and login to get a personalized stumbling experience.
Web Stumbling syncs with your toolbar activity — Use Web Stumbling to rate, review and share content. All your activities will be saved for you in your profile and will influence your future recommendations. For example, Web Stumbling in Safari, Chrome or Opera would use ratings you gave when using the Firefox or IE toolbars, and anything you rate will improve your recommendations on any platform.
Enhancements to Sharing — When sharing websites while Web Stumbling, you now have the ability to share with several friends at once, post sites directly to your Facebook profile, and even have conversations with your friends about the websites you shared with them.

To easily access Web Stumbling, bookmark the toolbar: http://www.stumbleupon.com/toolbar/.
We hope these enhancements make Stumbling more accessible for you — and make it even easier to discover the best of the web!

Thanks to everyone for helping make this happen.
